Jenni was our much loved 4th child. She was a wobbly walker but this was put down to possible cerebral palsy due to her complicated birth. By 6 and a half, her balance and speech were deteriorating and we finally got the diagnosis aged 8. I can’t begin to tell you what a wonderful, happy and loving child our daughter was, but with such a wicked sense of humour!

When she got her cancer diagnosis aged 11, she was fiercely determined to live and so she bravely tackled 6 months of debilitating and cruel chemotherapy; losing all her hair and becoming a virtual skeleton but she never complained. She completed her treatment and was in remission but her immune system was badly damaged so she developed pneumonia over Christmas of 2015 and died after being placed in an induced coma in Alder Hey children’s hospital in Liverpool at 6am on the 7th of January 2016, aged 12 years.

She is loved and missed by us every day and we are determined to try and find treatments and hopefully, a cure for this devastating condition.
