Hello!
Thank you for visiting this page. Now that you’re here, take a moment to explore the different ways you can help support families living with AT in the UK and Ireland.
Families Take Control
Families coming to terms with a new AT diagnosis often find fundraising helps them take control of their life-changing situation and find a positive way forward. We love to work with our fundraising families and watch them transform a heart-breaking situation into something really special.
Joy said “To me there was no choice, after the initial shock the way forward it seemed to me was to fundraise because it made me feel useful in a situation where I felt helpless. I could try to help make life easier for others. The charity gave me hope, this was my attempt to give back to the organisation that has been a lifeline to our family for over ten years now. As the children have got older and have become young adults they’ve joined in with raising awareness and help with fundraising efforts too.”
Get sponsored, bake cakes, throw a party, be sporty, have fun
Friends, neighbours, colleagues, schools, and community groups—everyone has something they love to do or a challenge they’ve always wanted to take on, and these can easily become fundraising opportunities.
Whether it’s skydiving, organizing a football tournament, running a 10K, climbing a mountain, hosting a coffee morning, or holding a bake sale, you can make a real impact.
Our downloadable fundraising pack is full of great ideas, tips, and guidance to help you get started. If you’d like a printed copy, contact us or call 01582 760 733, and we’ll be happy to send one to you.
Online donation sites
We currently use Just Giving which is a not-for-profit site and offers great value for your sponsors.
Add a photo to your fundraising page so your supporters can easily recognise you. Share, in your own words, why supporting the AT Society is important to you—telling a compelling story can help increase the number and size of donations.
Don’t forget to share your fundraising page link on social media and include it in your emails at home and work. Make it simple for your friends to show their support by sponsoring your efforts.
