Job Description

Event & Community Partnerships Fundraising Manager

c.£35k full time (part-time hours considered)

The AT Society is an established and growing charity at an exciting time in our development.  We have a great new opportunity for an enthusiastic, ambitious, and motivated Event & Community Partnerships Manager.

It is a key role in our small fundraising team and involves generating a lift in income from fundraising events and community partnerships, strengthening existing relationships and creating new ways for individuals and organisations to engage with us.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising & Operations, you will be responsible for delivering the fundraising events and community strategy for this national charity.  You will manage a range of activities and will develop strong partnerships with funders, working collaboratively across the organisation with all staff, volunteers and the families that we work with.

You will lead our special events (concerts, Balls, golf days for instance) and third-party challenge events, and will be instrumental in delivering our Christmas programme of activities, and the development of our work with community groups and businesses.  You will ensure activities are strategically planned and will be conversant and compliant with current and future fundraising legislation and codes of conduct. The use of the database for effective record-keeping, supporter acknowledgements and stewardship will be essential for success.

Key to the role is harnessing the passion of our community, motivating and inspiring them to maximise support.  You will be a fantastic ambassador.

Who you are

We’d love it if you came with a fabulous fundraising track record, but we’d also be open to sales, business development or events professionals looking for their first charity role.

On our wish-list:

A brilliant communicator, across all disciplines, who can get supporters involved and excited.

Well-organised and able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.

A people’s-person, with a passion for excellent stewardship and customer service.

Track record of meeting and exceeding targets (either in fundraising or transferable experience).

A great team player, who is happy to take on responsibility and line-management duties.

Next Steps

To apply for this opportunity, please send a copy of your CV, with covering letter explaining why you’re suitable for the role, to [email protected] or call 01582 760733 if you would like to find out more. The salary is c£35k per year, depending on experience, for a 5-day a week role, or pro-rata of that for reduced hours.  You can work from the office in Harpenden, Herts, or work from home. In person events will take place in around Herts, and nationally, which you will need to be at.

The AT Society is a flexible, life and family-friendly employer with a supportive, welcoming team who love what they do and enjoy coming to work.  We look forward to hearing from you!
