3 Peaks Challenge

11 – 13 June 2027

AT Society 3 Peaks Challenge

The 3 Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, often within 24 hours. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft).

The event will be run by Maximum Adventure, experts in adventure travel and experienced in running and organising the 3 Peaks Challenge. Booking is now open via the AT Society link below. Registration closes on Friday 8th May.

The AT Society 3 Peaks Challenge

There will be a specialist, qualified mountain leader for each group of 8 people, as well as a dedicated driver. If you book as a group of friends, please email [email protected] with the names of those in your team and Sally will ensure you are grouped together.

Participants will pay just £99 per person and must fundraise a minimum of £800 per head.

This is a tough event and those participating should have the necessary fitness and be prepared to do without sleep! The aim is to complete the event in 24 hours. To do this, Ben Nevis should be completed in 5 hours, Scafell Pike in 4 hours and Snowdon in 4 hours, although this will depend on the pace of the group. The standard for measuring your official total time on the event is mountain time plus a fixed 10-hour drive time.

Information about event inclusions and exclusions, travel to and from the start and finish of the event, fitness requirements and the environmental responsibility of the challenge can be found on the booking link above.

Fundraising Commitment

By registering for this event, you are committing to raise a minimum of £800 in sponsorship to directly support the vital work of the AT Society. This fundraising target is a mandatory requirement for participation in the challenge.

Once you have paid your deposit and reached the £800 fundraising minimum, the AT Society will cover the remaining cost of your 3 Peaks Challenge place. By registering for the challenge, you are committing to raise this amount and take responsibility for fulfilling your fundraising pledge in support of the AT Society’s vital work.

Once you have booked your place directly with Maximum Adventure, please email [email protected] to let her know you’ve joined the A-Team. From there, we’ll support you every step of the way with fundraising advice, encouragement and motivation, and we’ll also send you an AT Society branded t-shirt to wear on the day.
