Help and Support - Family Support Worker - Sylvia's Testimony Change Text Size

SYLVIA'S TESTIMONY

Sylvia, who has two adult sons with A-T, describes how the Society has helped her:

“I wish to express my sincere thanks for the help, advice and assistance the A-T Society, and Kay in particular, have given me and my sons, Travis and Dale, over the years.

Kay is always available and supportive. In the past I have had many occasions to call the A-T Society for information and advice, such as obtaining a computer for my sons, respite accommodation and listings, holiday suggestions, advice on funding, and supplying information and brochures about A-T for people who want to help us with our fundraising efforts.

The A-T Society is a vital link between people with A-T, their families and the medical profession.

Finally and perhaps most importantly, someone (usually Kay) is always available.”
